Job Overview The Director, Strategic Collaborations and Stakeholder
Engagement is a critical role within the USP Biologics and
Microbiology team. It is a hands-on supervisory position
responsible for development and execution of tactics required for
the implementation of USP Biologics Strategy. It includes:
Initiating and leading strategic collaborations in support of the
development and commercialization of new USP Biologics standards.
Overseeing USP Biologics scientific stakeholders engagement
activities aimed at (1) identifying and understanding market needs
and opportunities for new biologics and microbiology standards, (2)
advocating for the use of USP biologics standards in the industry,
and (3) driving their adoption by industry and regulatory agencies.
Driving alignment with USP Regional teams and localization of USP
Biologics Strategy across USP regions (North America, Latin
America, Europe, South Asia, China, Asia Pacific). The incumbent
will be responsible for developing meaningful strategies for
collaborations and scientific stakeholders engagement activities in
support of USP Biologics Strategy. The Director will also be in
charge of supporting sales teams in the regions in their objectives
of growing sales of USP Biologics standards. To achieve this, the
incumbent will build on a strong industry and regulatory network
and work in close collaboration with their team as well as Science
team, other internal USP functions (Scientific Affairs, Regulatory
Affairs, Scientific Affairs) and sales teams in Regions. This role
is a high impact, high visibility role within USP organization
which requires strong leadership, ability to network at all levels
both internally and externally and operate in scientific and
business environments. The individual will be a key member of the
Biologics Industry Solutions Leadership team and will act as a
change agent within the organization, fostering new ways of working
and shaping the next generation of biological standards and
ultimately enhancing USP public health impact. How will YOU create

Additionally, USPs People and Culture division, in partnership with
the Equity Office, invests in leadership and workforce development

practices and tools to promote engaged, collaborative, and
results-driven work environments. The Director, Strategic
Collaborations and Stakeholder Engagement, Biologics has the
following responsibilities: Lead the design and execution of global
stakeholder engagement strategies in close collaboration with BIO
Science team, to identify unmet needs and emerging opportunities in
biologics and microbiology, advocate for USP standards, and drive
their adoption across biologics industry. Build and manage
high-value collaborations with industry leaders, regulators,
academic institutions, and standards-setting bodies, in close
collaboration with BIO Science team, to advance USPs biologics
strategy. Promote awareness, credibility, and adoption of USP
biologics standards across the biopharmaceutical ecosystem,
including regulators, manufacturers, and health organizations.
Partner with regional and global teams to localize and implement
the USP Biologics Strategy across North America, Latin America,
Europe, South Asia, China, and Asia Pacific. Oversee a team
responsible for stakeholder engagement and strategic
collaborations. Collaborate closely with internal teamsincluding
BIO Science, Regulatory Affairs, Scientific Affairs, and Sales, to
ensure alignment between scientific initiatives and market needs.
Support commercial teams in regions by translating scientific
engagement insights into actionable growth strategies for biologics
standards. Represent USP at global industry conferences, consortia,
and regulatory forums to amplify USPs leadership and drive external
engagement. Leverage deep networks and industry insights to inform
USPs strategic direction and ensure responsiveness to regulatory
and scientific trends. Act as a change agent within the
organization, fostering new ways of working and promoting
innovation in standards development. Track, evaluate, and report on
the impact of engagement and collaboration efforts, refining
approaches for maximum strategic and public health impact. Who is
USP Looking For? The successful candidate will have a demonstrated
understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through
inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly
build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following
competencies and experience: Masters degree in business or science,
or equivalent professional experience in business-related field and
appropriate scientific area. Strong knowledge of the biologics and
life sciences industry stakeholders, suppliers of reagents and
materials used in manufacturing. Minimum of 10 years of experience
in business management, marketing, preferably within healthcare,
and life science industries. Minimum of 4 years of experience
supervising, leading training, cross-functional teams or mentoring
staff members. Global mindset and ability to travel, as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability
to communicate at all levels in the organization. Ability to
patiently listen, gather customer/stakeholder insights and respond
with creative solutions. Ability to develop strong relationships
and work collaboratively within and outside the program unit.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking. Accountability and
ownership of work. Additional Desired Preferences PhD, Masters
degree in business or science, or MBA. Education and training in
pharmaceutical sciences and related business highly desired.
Results oriented with a track record of success in marketing
commensurate with experience level. Ability to interpret data and
synthesize data and develop reporting tools. Proficiency with
Microsoft Office, relational databases, data structure, data query,
analysis, and reporting. Supervisory Responsibilities Yes, 2 direct

Salary Range: USD $161,000.00 $214,500.00 annually. Target Annual
Bonus: % Varies based on level of role. Individual compensation
packages are based on various factors unique to each candidates
skill set, experience, qualifications, equity, and other
