OverviewDevelop data modeling to increase data quality and consistency for reporting and analytical partners to reduce the transformation required. Develop measure and metric models and definitions. Partner with business stakeholders and other analysts to understand business data needs, capture data requirements, and perform data collection, processing and cleaning. Provide inputs for complex data science and business intelligence projects and perform analytical on large data sets to support departmental and organizational objectives. Work independently to interpret and develop solutions to complex business challenges that have a significant impact on the function or branch. Specialized skill set and proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques. Recognized as an expert in own area within the company.ResponsibilitiesWork with technology organization and business end-users to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements including data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements; conduct data UAT, and data accuracy, validation, integrity researchLead and oversee cross-functional data collection efforts, developing and implementing strategies to gather, clean, and preprocess data from diverse sources while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completenessEnsure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysisIdentify and compile data sets using a variety of tools to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business-to-business outcomesAnalyze and resolve complex data quality issues, utilizing advanced data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring techniques to maintain data integrity and reliabilityClean and organize raw data and generate descriptive statistics in support of business intelligence and data science projectsPartner with data science teams to maintain statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of dataAssist with the development and enhancement of practices, procedures, and instructionsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with team members, subject matter experts, and leaders; work with senior management on complex issuesLead moderate to large projects and initiativesMentor lower level staffProvide guidance and input on data quality measures and developing data controlsQualifications7-10 years of experience in data analysis and reportingSubject matter expert within business area/specialization with understanding of interrelationships of different disciplinesExpert skill in data manipulation and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or R, as well as advanced data cleaning and preprocessing techniques and toolsAdvanced skill with ETL tools and techniques, data cleaning, and other analytical techniques required for data usageAdvanced skill interpreting, extrapolating and interpolating data for statistical research and modelingKnowledge of various data structures and ability to extract data sources (e.g., PySpark, Power BI)Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices, with experience establishing and enforcing data governance policies, procedures, and standardsDemonstrated leadership and project management skills, with experience leading large-scale data initiatives and driving data quality improvementsBachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computers Science, Engineering, or degrees in similar quantitative fieldsDesired QualificationsDatabricks Modeling ExperienceMicrosoft Fabric ExperienceData architecture experience (5-10 years)Business intelligence experience (5-10 years)Mortgage Origination Expertise (2-5 years)Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PMLocation: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180 - 5510 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526 - 141 Security Drive, Winchester, VA 22602About UsNavy Federal provides much more than a job.
