A&P Composites Technician- TEHACHAPI

Job Description:

Pay : $30-$40/hr
Location : Tehachapi, CA
Shift: 6am-3:30pm, 9/80 schedule
Terms : 6 month contract ( NOTE : based on performance , some contractors will be offered conversion to a direct employee upon completion of 6 month contract (minimum))
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  
• 
  Manufacture and assembly of aerospace composite parts and structures using engineering drawings and/or engineering work instructions
  
  
• 
  Aircraft subsystem installations such as hydraulic lines, fuel systems, electrical systems, avionics, and instrumentation
  
  
• 
  Fabrication of parts using wet layup and pre-impregnated composite materials with multiple resin systems and fabrics.
  
  
• 
  Vacuum bagging of composite materials and parts.
  
  
• 
  Manufacture and finish of composite tooling using metals, MDF, foams, epoxy boards, carbon fibers and fiberglass.
  
  
• 
  Bonding composite structures including hand finishing parts to proper fitment.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of resins, mixing, ratios and paste mixes.
  
  
  REQUIREMENTS :
  
  • 
    
  • 
    A&P license STRONGLY preferred - Installs of subsystems
    
    
  • 
    3 years aerospace/aviation composites experience required
    
    
  • 
    Willing to submit to drug test and background check.
