- 2nd shift (3 pm to 11:20 pm) -Pay and Benefits for full-time
employees:
- $30.94 -(minimum) starting hourly rate

responsibilities of this role, Senior Tech/HVAC, are -to: -
- Comply with all workplace standards and safety procedures,
including Lockout Tagout, Current Good Manufacturing Practices
(cGMPs), Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements
(OSHA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain
clean/orderly work area, and participate in safety improvement
projects.
- Create/update/schedule work orders, and provide technical
(equipment) support/training/leadership to - line teams.
- Perform preventive, routine, and non-routine maintenance tasks
as required to meet scheduled completion dates (PM's).
- Coordinate the utilization of outside contractors and vendors
as needed.
- Assist Engineers with installation and operational
qualifications (IQ/OQ), site capital projects, testing and
troubleshooting new equipment and design, and install and debug
control system projects and drive systems.
- Maintain documentation and maintenance logs according to SOP's,
cGMP's and any other regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and leadership with department
projects and goals on assigned line.
- Demonstrate the ability to progressively manage critical
facility and operations support systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish operating parameters and
maintain specific performance standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan, schedule and prioritize daily
and weekly work activities as initiated by supervision.
- Communicate key information to operational and technical
supervision, technical parts administrator, and -personnel on other
shifts to ensure no business disruption.
- Calibrate various electronic equipment -- production,
facilities, and utilities equipment as trained.
- Read, write and modify programmable logic control (PLC) ladder
logic.
- Perform Packaging / Manufacturing / PCS / Facility / Utility
technical duties required to support the site, and provide back up
support for technical pool when needed.
- Perform other duties as trained & assigned. - -Facilities
focus:
- Perform routine fire system inspections and maintenance on fire
protection systems including fire diesel pumps and wet/dry
sprinkler systems.
- Repair and install equipment and equipment parts from various
types of metals and plastics.
- Perform fabrication duties involving cutting, shearing,
bending, welding and assembly of parts.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair the site security
system.
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems such as, but not limited
to, pumps, fans, mechanical devices, etc.
- Perform electrical circuit tests to diagnose problems and
repair low and medium voltage wiring and component problems.
- Perform general facility repairs. -Mfg/Utility focus:
- Effectively troubleshoot as trained in areas such as: - Hands
on troubleshooting and repair ability with regard to electrical
systems up to 480 volts, basic knowledge and understanding of
13,800 to 69,000 volt power distribution systems and protective
relaying, ability to interpret and apply the latest edition of the
National Electric Code, Compressed air systems, Steam systems,
Potable water systems, Purified Water systems, Heating systems,
Cooling systems, Fabrication, Navigation of programmable logic
controllers, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
- Perform equipment setup and changeover activities, and support
all changeover reduction initiatives.
- Demonstrate ownership and improve OEE by increasing the
equipment effectiveness.
- Establish equipment-operating parameters to maximize
production, while meeting all product specifications.
- Provide overall team support including equipment operation and
other duties needed to support team members.
- Palletize both finished and unfinished products, and operate
motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
- Take ownership of training and learning to develop high
performance competencies such as technical skills, communication
skills, and skills to build a team-oriented culture (i.e. training
team members, motivating and supporting team members, sharing
knowledge to continuously improve the process, etc.).
- Meet the production schedules outlined by line team and/or
Supervision. - -Review and approve work output for team members by
using validated methods. -Packaging focus:
- Demonstrate line ownership; improve OEE by increasing the
equipment effectiveness on assigned packaging line. -
- Inspect packaging components, in-process items, and packaged
drug products to assure compliance to specifications, identify any
non-conforming item and initiate appropriate actions.
- Perform equipment setup and changeover activities, and support
all changeover reduction initiatives. - - -
- Establish equipment-operating parameters to maximize
production, while meeting all product specifications.
- Perform the daily setup and routine operation of the packaging
line, including but not limited to: - bottle in-feed, unscrambler,
filler, bottle capper, torquer, labeler, vision systems, weighing
systems, bar coding systems, sealers, disassembly/assembly,
cleaning, resolving equipment stoppages and jams, and all material
handling as trained.
- Provide overall line team support including equipment operation
and other duties needed to support team members.
- Palletize both finished and unfinished products, and operate
motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
- Complete paperwork including AQL checks and scanner
checks.
- Perform line operator duties on a rotational basis as a fully
trained Level 3 Associate Technician according to the training
module plan, on at least one line. -
- Rotate packaging lines as needed to support the business.
- While doing changeover duties may assist with cleaning
operations.
- Take -ownership of training and learning to develop high
performance competencies such as technical skills, communication
skills, and skills to build a team-oriented culture (i.e. training
team members, motivating and supporting team members, sharing
knowledge to continuously improve the process, etc.).
- Meet the production schedules outlined by line team and/or
Supervision. - -Review and approve work output for team members by
using validated methods. -Process Control Systems (PCS) focus:
- Hands on troubleshooting and repair ability with regard to
electrical systems from 5VDC to 480 VAC and basic knowledge and
understanding of high voltage power distribution systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and modify control systems of
manufacturing and packaging systems: read electrical schematics,
utilize power/process meters, power diagnostics, contactors,
relays, sensors, basic electronic controllers, programmable logic
controllers (PLC), variable frequency drives (VFD).
- Ability to troubleshoot/modify/configure manufacturing
computerized systems: Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), equipment
configuration software, automation equipment computerized
networking, network switches, Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA), basic database understanding/abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot controls of utility systems such as
compressed air, pneumatics, steam, potable water
(standard/purified), HVAC, lighting and other electro-mechanical
equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities for manufacturing
and packaging equipment.
- Perform equipment calibrations utilizing specialized
measurement equipment/meters to meet vendor or local Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP) dictated specifications.
- Participate is the process to purchase or upgrade manufacturing
and packaging equipment. - Participate in Factory Acceptance
Testing (FAT), Installation and Operational (IQ/OQ)
activities.
- Ability to understand/reference the latest editions of the
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and National Electric
Code (NEC) and equivalent non-US codes. -
- Take ownership of training and learning to develop high

and skills to build a team-oriented culture (i.e. training team
members, motivating and supporting team members, sharing knowledge
to continuous process improvement, etc.).
- Provide technical support and skills to all functional groups
on site. (Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Process Technology,

to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the
following: -Required Qualifications:
- Technical Associates Degree
- OR -High School Diploma / GED, plus 2 years of vocational
technical training and 5 years of experience working with PLC's,
mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics,
fabrication, and /or industrial maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write,
interpret/comprehend/follow workplace and technical documentation
-- equipment manuals, blueprints, diagrams, electrical schematics,
operator manuals, work instructions, SOPs, etc.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems including: gear ratios,
power transmission, machine timing, hydraulics, pneumatics,
electrical/electronic systems, programmable logic controllers,
lubrication, and maintenance/changeover of machines/production
line.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electromechanical
equipment and technical issues, successfully set up/changeover
multiple pieces of packaging/manufacturing equipment, complete
preventive maintenance work (PMs), resolve problems, and learn new
procedures within a reasonable time frame.
- Must be able to demonstrate a good mathematical aptitude in
-addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, & experience with
metric and English standard systems required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
required.
- Good PC Skills, including use of e-mail, attaching documents to
e-mail required. - Previous experience using electronic databases
and on-line tools required (i.e., but not limited to, Lotus Notes
database, Employee Self-Services on-line tools, etc) -
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in a production environment
required.
- Experience in a government regulated, Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP) or standard operating procedures (SOP) environment
required.
- Must be willing to work overtime as required, based on
production demands. -In addition to above, for facilities focus: -
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to
480 Volts.
- Knowledge and understanding of technical mathematics, blue
print diagram and technical tools and equipment pertinent to the
assigned specialty including outside and inside micrometer, the
machinist scale, use of the thread gauge and dial indicators.
- Experience operating a lathe, vertical milling machine,
horizontal milling machine, drill presses, and grinders
required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate typical maintenance shop
equipment (i.e. brakes, shears, band saw, spot welder, etc.) -In
addition to above, for utilities focus:
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical
systems up to 480 volts.
- Demonstrated ability to read/use basic electrical and
mechanical drawings, technical mathematics, blueprints,
electrical/electronic schematics and technical tools and
electrical/electronic equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to measure and add amounts of chemicals
for testing, read and interprets test results, determine and
measure chemical quantities to adjust "out of specification"
conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to progressively manage critical
maintenance support systems required.
- Demonstrated ability to establish operating parameters and
maintain specific standards of performance required.
- Demonstrated ability to understand various basic electrical
items, such as switches, wiring, etc. required.
- Demonstrated ability in diagnosing, troubleshooting, modifying
and repairing control circuits up to 120 VAC.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices relating to
13,800 to 69,000 volt systems preferred.
- Demonstrated experience performing electrical circuit tests to
diagnose problems and repair low and medium voltage wiring and
component problems. -Preferred
- 2 years of experience working with PLC's, mechanical,
hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, fabrication, and/or
industrial maintenance.
- Advanced Manufacturing Integrated Systems Technology (AMIST)
certification is a plus.
- Previous experience using motorized & non-motorized material
