Job Description:
Overview Stryten Energy is seeking great additions to the
Lancaster team! Material Handlers operate various types of
equipment moving product from locations ranging from 16 foot racks
to floor locations for various departments in plant or distribution
center facilities. Material Handlers must work safely and in an
efficient manner. We're seeking people with positive attitudes,
safety and quality orientations, and team-oriented spirit. The best
candidates are dependable and take pride in their work. Mechanical
aptitude is a plus.this is a 3rd shift position (11pm - 7am, Sunday

pre-screening process! Responsibilities
- Must successfully complete the material handling training and
be licensed for the equipment used, such as sit down
forklifts.
- Comply with all safety and health policies and procedures.
- Moves grids, plates, racks, etc. to assigned area as needed.
Areas include but not limited to Assembly, Pasting, Finishing.
- May be responsible for loading and starting pasting ovens and
keeping the lines set up with material to use for making the
product in their department.
- Receives material in the plant and provides receiving paperwork
to the designated person
- May be responsible for loading hazardous material trucks
ensuring that all barrels are correctly labeled, not overweight and
barrel(s) meet DOT requirements.
- Performs preventative maintenance procedures on forklift.
- Capable of performing simple math such as counting product and
record information in written form and or computer program.
- Load and unload over-the-road trailers with powered
equipment.
- Must be able to understand and communicate in simple English to
receive training instruction and to perform team
responsibilities.
- Maintain the workspace in a clean and orderly condition.
- Comply with current quality systems requirements.
- Follow lean manufacturing procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- May be exposed to lead (dust, fumes, and molten form) and other
hazards. Qualifications Physical Requirements:
- Manually handle 5 pounds to 50 pound batteries.
- May move or carry short distances, wood pallets weighing up to
40 pounds.
- Hand - eye coordination to operate reach truck/walkie.
- Continuous standing, walking, or riding a truck/forklift and
getting on and off to perform required job duties.
- Occasionally required to work in extreme environmental
conditions (hot, cold, humid)Equipment Used:
- Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Electric walkie, reach truck, forklift, oven control panels,
barcode system, clipboard, pen/pencil, computer.Education,
Experience, Skills Required:
- Must successfully complete the applicable material handling
training and be licensed for the equipment used.
- Must be able to understand and communicate in basic English to
receive training, instructions and perform team
responsibilities.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or related experience preferred.
- Computer literate.
