Overview
The Network S&OP Planner will perform transactional and
analytical activities to support long range production planning,
rough cut capacity planning, and inventory management. This
position will be responsible for aligning tactical paths towards
strategic direction across ever-changing horizons. The candidate
will analyze data, monitor established KPI's, and provide root
cause analysis activity around non-conformance to KPI's. The
candidate will monitor and hold cross-functional partners
accountable to corrective actions established in root cause
analysis.-- This individual will be a key contributor in the
S&OP process, leading supply reviews for their portfolio. This
candidate will be responsible for monitoring customer risk and
forward communicating with commercial and operations partners to
establish contingencies, recovery periods, etc.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- PRODUCTION PLANNING
-
- Maintain and update long range production plans for plant at
SKU level to achieve desired inventory plan.
- Work with Operations to identify most economical production
cadence and establish flexible repetitive scheduling models,
including MOQ's, batch sizes, etc.
- Identify production variances to both budget and prior
forecast.
- Work with demand planning and financial teams to determine if
proper upside and necessary inventory builds are included.
- Upload and validate production and each month.
- Review monthly plans with finance and plant personnel to
provide insight and explanation of plan.
- Review monthly plans with regional planners to insure
appropriate inventory levels are targeted and optimal run cycles
are planned at the day to day level.
- Track performance to plan throughout the month to monitor
adherence to original production plan and changeover performance
(increase/decrease) versus budget/forecast.
- Participate in scoping meetings to provide supply chain insight
on available capacity for upcoming projects/potential wins.--
- ROUGH CUT CAPACITY PLANNING
- Develop and maintain long range rough cut capacity reports for
each asset in portfolio.
- Ensure level-loaded plan that minimizes change-overs and
down-time.
- Analyze and identify constraints and effectively communicate
and develop accountability through S&OP cadence and
process.
- Balance production assignments among plants to balance load as
needed.
- INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
- Review/analyze reporting to ensure inventory targets, service
goals, aged goals, and logistics expense goals. Ensure network
balancing to meet these goals.
- Manage supply flow: Cancel, rush, expedite & de-expedite
production to maintain proper replenishment.
- Complete monthly root cause analysis on inventory, aged
inventory, obsolete inventory, and service trends.
- Work with Demand Planning in establishing ABC categorization of
SKU's and manage inventory to established rules.
- Monitor aged and obsolete inventory and develop a plan to
mitigate accordingly.--
- Lead monthly S&OP Supply meetings for portfolio and be
point person on projects, PSI and capacity constraints.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Up to 10% travel may be required

- Basic understanding of end-to-end supply chain in a CPG /
Manufacturing environment.
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example:
functions, inserting charts, pivot tables, Solver/Data Analysis
tool).
- Knowledge of Database Applications (Access or Business
Objects).
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as algebra,
probability, and statistical inference to practical
situations.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and
simply.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA Degree is required (Supply Chain/Operations or Business
Management is preferred).
- Minimum of 1 - 5 years' experience in any of the following:
Production/Supply/Inventory/Material planning
- Previous experience in SAP (PP, MM, APO, SNP or PPDS ) or
related ERP system is preferred.
- Previous experience with a Planning Software is a plus (SAP APO
or Adexa).
- Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools, such as
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Possess knowledge of Six Sigma/LEAN beneficial.
- APICS certification is beneficial.The standard compensation for
this role is $77,600 - $112,100. Salary offers will be determined
based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and
other relevant factors.
Compensation Statement
The expected salary range for the position described in this
posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain
jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon
compensation is based on individual qualifications and
experience.
