NEFFSVILLE PLUMBING & HVAC - Lancaster PA
The Plumbing Service Technician is responsible for installing,
repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used
for water distribution and waste water disposal. Performs a variety
of services ranging from faucet repairs to water heater
installations and plumbing systems replacements for residential
customers while maintaining the highest level of customer
service.

Essential Job Functions:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and
fixtures.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the
layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and
drainage systems.
- Plan, install, and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping
equipment, and controls. These piping systems may be used to
transport water, waste, gases, or hot liquids.
- Provide excellent customer service to residential customers by
educating them on plumbing services recommended in their homes if a
foreseeable and/or hazardous condition is detected.
- Identify required tools and special equipment
- Select the type and size of pipe required
- Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and
equipment
- Assemble and install valves and fittings
- Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment,
piping, and controls
- Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary and
water piping systems
- Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs, and toilets
- Install, repair, and maintain water heaters and
conditioners
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances,
and trim
- Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and
fixtures
- Apply all codes to installations, repairs, and
maintenance
- Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of
systems and fixtures are met
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly
sized, aligned, supported, and graded
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the
requirements of the appropriate codes
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet
environmental protection requirements
Qualifications:
- Ability to drive a company service truck safely at all times
and to maintain a clean driving record.
- Strong analytical and problems solving skills
- Ability to make sound business decisions
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and listening
skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to sell services to customers in an effective and
satisfactory manner; assist the customer in choosing the best
service option and products and strive to win referrals and repeat
business.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized job site
- Ability to maintain a well-inventoried truck
- Honesty and trustworthiness in dealing with customers
- Demonstrate sound work ethic
- Ability to work a varying schedule depending on the company's
needs; work off-shift with minimal notice if required, including
holidays and weekends
- Ability to participate in training sessions and company
meetings
- Accuracy and timely invoicing, timesheets other daily
paperwork
- 4 years of residential service preferred.
- Journeyman's License Preferred. (We will help you obtain one if
you do not have one)
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes.
- Proven track record in soldering, pipe threading, fixture
installation, gas leak testing, and repair.
- Clean, safe driving record.

Experience/ Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, associates and
college degrees preferred.
