We are currently seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician that will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of optical injection molds, as well as identify opportunities for improvement. This is a day shift position (7:00am-3:30pm) with occasional overtime and/or weekends as needed.As a member of the MXL team, you can expect:Culture - At MXL, you will encounter a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, safety, quality, and teamwork.Excellent employer reputation - Voted one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania 10 times in the last 15 years!Job stability - As an essential business, we have not been negatively impacted by COVID-19.Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits package - Including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurances, 401k with employer match, health savings account, employee wellness program, paid time off, holidays, family picnic, team appreciation dinner, team charitable events and fundraising, and more.Key ResponsibilitiesWith a high level of independence, this position will be responsible for:Maintaining inventory of all injection molding tools.Keeping records of preventative and/or corrective maintenance of all injection molding tools.Performing preventative and corrective maintenance of all injection molding tools.Verifying dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications.Using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.Studying blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.Setting up and operating conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.Visualizing and computing dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies, based on specificationsInspecting finished surfaces for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects; smoothing and polishing flat and contoured surfaces of parts or tools, using scrapers, abrasive stones, files, emery cloths, or power grindersFitting and assembling parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand toolsFiling, grinding, shimming, and adjusting different parts to properly fit them together.Lifting, positioning, and securing machined parts on surface plates or worktables using hoists, vises, and other equipmentOrdering and maintaining inventory for spare parts.Working with mathematical concepts and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry and applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.Collaborating with the Manufacturing and Engineering teams, and tooling partners when required, to provide recommendations associated with modifications and or maintenance needed to support existing injection molding tools.Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Supporting outsourcing repairs and new injection molding tool builds as required.

Requirements:
High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED); machinist or trade school graduateMinimum of 8 years' experience with injection molding tooling maintenanceJourneyman Tool & Die Maker certification preferredKnowledge of injection molding processesPowered Industrial Truck/Fork Lift TruckKnowledge of and working ability with computers, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet.
