We have opportunities for Vacuum Coating Technicians Level 1.Openings on all shifts! *** WE WILL TRAIN YOU! *** Make products that save lives with plastic!POSITION SUMMARY: Assist with coating production by preparing parts for optical coating, packaging and labeling of finished products. Assist with writing and reviewing SOP's and QWI's.Visually inspects coated areas of products for defects such as blemishes, uneven coverage of optical coating or failure to meet any customer specification.Prepares products for the coating process, including inspecting, cleaning, routing and buffing.Maintains daily production records.Packs and labels finished goods.Keeps an organized written record of above activities.Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness of equipment and department.Reliable attendance by attending work as scheduled and in a timely manner.Now is your chance to make a difference by joining a Team where you will have consistent hours, earn competitive pay and valuable benefits while helping make products used by firefighters, first responders, the military, football, motorsports and more.Explore MXL: Creating optical quality protection products that make our world safer.SHIFTS and HOURS - Openings on all shifts!MXL currently operates 24 hours a day, 3 shifts, 5 days a week.1st Shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) $18.00/hr. M-F2nd Shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) $18.75/hr. M-F3rd Shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM) $19.50/hr. Sunday PM-Friday AMMXL is preparing for 12-hour shift scheduling beginning in late April/early May 2022.Full-time and work approximately 15 days a month! Three day weekend every other weekend!Day shift 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Night shift 7:00 pm to 7:30 AM with night shift differential pay (+$1.50).Scheduled not more than 3 consecutive days of 12-hour shifts.Regular rotation with predictable bi-weekly schedule (Week 1=36 hours, Week 2=48 hours).Every other weekend off.Requirements:SKILLS and ABILITIES:Education: High school or GED.Experience: Production-oriented work experience.Computer Skills: Knowledge of and working ability with computers, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.Production and Processing: Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products.Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
