Team Leaders will provide guidance, positive attitudes, instruction and direction when training Assembly and/or Weld Operators. Key Responsibilities Act as a Role Model for Assembly and/or Weld Operators lead by setting a good example. Support activities of all Assembly and/or Weld Operators with respect to job assignments and job rotation. Complete shift minutes and communicate the following to the next shift: Record key issues in on-line shift log to ensure communication between shifts. Verify the line is ready for effective start up prior to shift start. Walk the line and flag low inventory, compare against PEZ and complete the stock loss form as required. Assist with training new/temporary employees by updating and completing the Training Matrix and Training Sign-Off Sheets. Update and Maintain the MAFACT board as required. Daily record keeping of smart parts and sensor verification. Verify daily production recording for accuracy. Post pre-shift sheets at the beginning of each week, ensure that sheets are signed during the week and submit sheets at the end of each week. Assist with the organization of work areas, ensure required parts are present as per the production schedule. Includes ordering of parts from material handlers and loading the lines. Assist with monthly and annual inventory. Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained. Ensure that materials and machinery are utilized efficiently. Assign tasks to optimize output and maintain production schedule. Ensure the quality of the product is maintained by following control plants, operator instructions, certification logs etc. Ensure employees at the assigned line are performing tasks to standard, completing required documentation and maintaining cycle times. Ensure first off components meet quality criteria prior to start-up of production runs. Accountable for final approval of all finished goods ready for shipment and recording data related to lot traceability. Assist employees with their concerns. Responsible and accountable for controlling scrap levels. Ensure that employee production cards are filled in correctly, all scrap is recorded and dispositioned accurately. Responsible for tagging and isolation of non-conforming or suspect material Assist with departmental efficiencies analysis and action plans to maintain standards and targets. Support performance of repairs and perform TPM preventative maintenance on minor equipment as required. Inspect parts on gauges and testers. Accurately follow the Labelling Procedure by ensuring all parts in bins, containers, totes, etc., are labelled correctly Act as back up support to the Production Supervisor in their absence. Inform Supervisors and Managers of any concerns using the escalation process. Participate in monthly line meetings when required. Maintain housekeeping standards through Housekeeping Audits/OQR/Lot Traceability. Provide input for Employee Performance Reviews. Ensure and enforce all safety rules and standards. Assemble components and parts in accordance with standardized work, one-piece flow, JESs and within quality and safety guidelines. Key Qualifications/Requirements Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate.
