Resident Assistant (Level 1) or Med Tech (Level 2)Part-Time - 22.5 hours/week - 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM - 5 evenings/week - Every other weekend & holiday rotation Med Tech license optionalCome be part of something meaningful.Fairmount Homes is hiring a Resident Assistant or Med Tech to join our Personal Care / Assisted Living team! You'll serve elderly residents during a pivotal time in their care journey, offering compassion, dignity, and heartfelt support. Be part of a strong, values-driven team that reflects Fairmount's culture of excellence and care.Personal Care Resident Assistant / Med Tech Pay:$19.45 - $21.30 hour, + $1.25 / hr weekend shift differential Position Summary:The Resident Assistant/Med Tech provides supportive care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans and under the direction of supervisory staff. This role is essential in promoting residents' dignity and independence while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.Key Responsibilities:Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, eating, ambulation, etc.)Support residents with room tidiness, laundry, and telephone useAssist in the dining room-serve drinks, meals, and help with food choicesAdminister medications and perform treatments (for Level 2 Med Techs with current certification)Accurately document resident information in electronic and paper recordsReport any changes in residents' conditions to supervisory staffTake and record vital signs, weights, and intake/outputAssist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and post-mortem careMaintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environmentAssist with resident activities and social engagementAttend required trainings and team meetingsComply with infection control, safety procedures, HIPAA, and corporate compliance standardsFollow Fairmount's mission, vision, and policies at all timesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentCompassionate, dependable, and team-orientedStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMed Techs must have a current PA Personal Care Home Medication CertificationMust be able to meet physical and emotional demands of the roleAbility to maintain professionalism in stressful or emergency situationsBasic computer skills for electronic documentationPhysical & Sensory Requirements:This position involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, pulling, and reaching. Must be able to hear, see, speak, smell, and feel tactile sensations regularly.
