Job Description:
OverviewFedWriters is building a team to support Naval Surface
Warfare Center, Crane Division's engineering, logistics, and IT
systems operations. As a Senior Training & Development Specialist,
you will lead the training and development functional task area to
broadly support SEA 21 programs and directorates with
communication, information sharing, digital adoption, and business
processes.FedWriters is expanding rapidly and has been recognized

contingent upon successful contract award**Work Schedule and
Location:Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday
through Friday, 8am to 5pm with occasional work onsite in
Washington, DC.Responsibilities
- Analyze training needs to develop new training curriculum and
programs and modify existing curriculum
- Plan, develop, and provide training using various methodologies
(classroom, online, on-the-job)
- Coordinate established courses with training and services
provided through other Navy organizations
- Confer with the Government and identify training needs based on
projected changes to ship systems, system processes, and other
factors
- Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids,
and other educational materials
- Review and evaluate training programs for compliance with
government standards and regulations
- Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for
training and dealing with students
- Apply DoD and Navy standards, Plain Language Guidelines and
other style guides
- Use effective data management and visualization principles
- Work with and train programs, directorates, small groups, and
individuals
- Develop workforce competency in organizing and presenting
information
- Use M365 apps and other digital tools
- Train other training and development contractors to ensure
their competency
- Supervise other training and development contractors to ensure
their satisfactory support
- Perform complex tasks independently and complete assigned tasks
on time and to a satisfactory or better standard
- Provide guidance and oversight to contractors at the junior and
mid experience levelsQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field (Master's degree preferred)
- 10-12+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with training and development
- Knowledge of DoD and Navy standards and Plain Language
Guidelines
- Demonstrated experience training other training and development
contractors to ensure their competency
- Supervisory skills to oversee other training and development
contractors to ensure their satisfactory support
