U.S. Boiler Company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc.We are seeking a Boiler Assembler to join our team! This position will work on a team to assemble residential boilers. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and have experience working with hand and power tools.This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are Monday-Friday, 5 AM - 3:30 PM; two Saturdays per month, 5 AM - 11 AM. Training pay is $19.11 per hour. After training, employees will earn the incentive rate.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materialsUse a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipmentAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassembliesVerifies specifications by measuring and testing completed componentsMaintains inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; and contacting appropriate personnel to supply inventoriesDocuments actions by completing production and quality forms as neededContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededLine side material handling as requiredUtilize lifting hoists or manipulators as requiredPrepare for shipping finished product by palletizing, crating and loading as requiredUtilize computers, scanners and printers as requiredReport problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production SupervisorMaintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and managementMust be willing to learn and practice continuous improvement techniques such as 5S, one piece flow, value stream mapping, set-up reduction, and moreMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsCross train to other positions as neededProvide hands-on job function training to coworkers as neededPerforms related work as directed commensurate with this or lesser rated labor gradeQualifications/Requirements:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with hand and power toolsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
