Details****Description**High Steel Service Center has a
200,000-square-foot facility with 150,000 tons of capacity. A
full-line metal processor and distributor, High Steel Service
Center offers carbon steel, aluminum flat rolled, and stainless
steel products. We are currently seeking a truck loader to join our
2nd shift operations. Ideal candidates will have availability to
work Monday - Friday from 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. **Truck Loaders**
will work in a safe and efficient manner to load outbound trucks
with finished products using a forklift, crane, or sideloader. They
will then be required to work from shipping orders and following
loading instructions, as well as, do proper weight calculations for
shipping. **Areas of responsibility for our truck loaders
include:*** Will read and understand work orders and be able to
carry out instructions listed on work orders* Operate material
moving equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and sideloaders* Must
have knowledge of quality, and quality material
requirements/procedures, to report defective material to department
supervisor * Operate various hand and power tools to safely package
material for shipping* Must have knowledge of customer requirements
i.e. loading and unloading procedures along with their individual
material specifications * Must understand and practice proper load
weight distribution and sequential delivery loading for effective
truck loading while ensuring a safe and legal load * Keep accurate
inventory records within our ERP system* Will be required to jockey
company trucks from storage to the loading area**Work
qualifications and education requirements:*** High School Diploma
or GED* Previous manufacturing or warehousing experience, required*
Experience operating a crane, forklift or sideloader, required*
Ability to work in both a team environment and as an individual
contributor* Proficient in basic math skills; including reading a
tape measure and using fractions and decimals* Valid Driver's
License required, CDL A or B a plus* The ability to work overtime,
up to 60 hours per week, required**Working for The High
