Clark to be on the cutting edge of innovative solutions for the next century.POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for safely operating power-driven forklift truck to move plain and decorated sheet stock to and from decorating lines, waxer, and wrapping station. Must possess good color vision, math skills and understand coating material applications. Responsible for complying with all safety policies and practices. Always performs duties with the goal of satisfying the customer.EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:Education equivalent to high school or equivalent. Must be able to read and understand written production instructions and load tickets. Approximately six (6) months experience is necessary to develop skills and knowledge to perform proficiently.Must be certified forklift driver and practice safe driving techniques to prevent injury to pedestrians or damage to product. Is responsible for moving loads of metal from the Litho storage areas to loading conveyors at the various decorating lines in sufficient volume to keep each line operating continuously. Assists in loading conveyors at the Waxer and Wrapping Stations.Must plan own activity within the framework of individual machine schedules. Must be able to recognize and remember various types of work-in-process for efficient temporary storage and delivery to proper machines. Must check all metal loads before pick-up to insure they are banded properly and have the proper load identification ticket. Once the load is picked up, the Forklift operator assumes the responsibility of that metal load and travels with care to avoid spilling or damaging sheets.Must place product on the floor in an orderly fashion for temporary storage for the next operation. Some loads in process will have to be flipped in the load turner as required.Must observe proper spacing of storage rows to prevent damage to sheets and to allow safe passage for personnel.Responsible for keeping lines supplied with appropriate skids and waste sheets, Velcro straps, and plywood protectors.Keeps the Waxer and Wrapping Station supplied with cardboard angles, metal angles, banding, banding clips, and waterproof paperMust keep aisles and storage areas orderly and free of obstructions. Responsibilities include emptying trash barrels, discarding load packing, and emptying waste metal containers.Must collect broken skids and bands for disposal.Qualifications
