Job Description:
Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Proactive role in the promotion and practice of Lean
Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement concepts and philosophies
within his/her span of control and responsibility.
- Assist in advocating, coaching, practicing and leading the
implementation of various Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
techniques.
- Collect data, prepare, and develop improvement projects
- Sustain and utilize the Reliability Excellence (REX) and other
continuous improvement systems.
- Proactively assist in leading and maintaining central
systems.
- Develop own personal, REX and other improvement skills
- Actively participate in teaching and coaching the rest of the
plant in continuous improvement.CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Waste Elimination and Continuous Improvement activities or
projects
- Experience with one or more of the following techniques:
Kaizen, 5S, Problem solving techniques, Leaders Standardized work,
Standardized Work, Pokayoke (Fail safing and Error proofing),
TPM.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and
Power Point, and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and understanding of a manufacturing environment
- Time Management
- Project Planning
- Drive for Change
- Critical Thinking
- Collaboration with various levels of the organization
- Building Ownership and CommitmentQUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in a technical field, Science, or Business
Administration
- A minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
- A minimum of 3 years of Lean Manufacturing experience
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office
software (power point, excel, and word)
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United
States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at
the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this
position.PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, science, or Business
Administration
- A graduate degree in business or MBA
- Five years' experience in process optimization, operations, or
business management.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to
effectively deliver presentation to upper management.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Experience leading organizational change
