We are a growing Lancaster-based, family-owned, multi-company organization with over 350 employees.Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, 2 years of experience in talent acquisition, proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems, and the ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. This role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills as you'll often be asked to work closely with others. This role also requires a candidate who has strengths in organization, administration, and data entry to assure new hires complete the necessary steps and information is entered correctly into systems.Job SummaryThe Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and talent acquisition strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will identify, recruit, and screen potential employees and successfully onboard new employees into the company.Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensures the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind.
  • Devises and implements sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants including employer branding initiatives.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Creates, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process to ensure a positive experience.
  • Forms close relationships with hiring managers and HR Business Partners. Coordinates together to identify and meet staffing needs in different areas and departments and to ensure clear expectations.
  • Creates job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for positions.
  • Places and updates job postings and advertising in various media.
  • Sources applicants through online channels, professional networks, and other channels. Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Recruits and performs talent acquisition activities such as resume & phone screens, and candidate interviews, recommends final selection of applicants, and closes qualified candidates.
  • Responds timely and communicates effectively to internal and external applicant situations, and applicant requests.
  • Creates offer letters, maintains applicant tracking system, recruiting reports, and other staffing administration functions.
  • Organizes and represents the company at recruiting events (job fairs) to build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Arranges pre-employment testing, background & references screenings, and conducts new employees onboarding.
  • Completes system updates and data entry for new employees.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.Qualifications and Skills
    • Two years of managing all phases of talent acquisition (recruitment) is highly preferred.
    • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • SHRM certification or other certification advantages.
    • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
    • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
    • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring, recruitment, and human resources.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
    • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking systems, human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications.Benefits and Perks
