The Office Assistant supports the Dean of Students, Associate
Dean of Students, the five College House Deans, and is be
responsible for the input of Department of Public Safety (DPS)
reports into the Maxient system and overall administration of the
Maxient system. The Office Assistant provides oversight of the Dean
of Student's direct report budgets-- Accessibility Services, Greek
Life, College Houses, Orientation, Title IX and Student
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the
- Administer the Maxient system for conduct reports. Enter public
safety reports into Maxient system and ensure timely follow up by
the responsible Dean. Generate regular reports upon request on
outcomes. Responsible for ongoing professional development related
to Maxient system.
- Manage calendars and correspondence for Associate Dean of
Students and five College House Deans. Provide budget oversight of
the five college houses.
- Assist the Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs
with the oversight of the Office of Student Affairs including
student worker supervision, handling of emergency loans and special
funds and party registration management.
- Execute scheduling, correspondence and special projects for
Dean of Students including management of budgets of departments
that report to the Dean of Students.
- Responsible for the logistical needs for student conduct
hearings and Title IX hearings. Assist with student application
process for student conduct board membership.
- Oversight of endowed gift funds in the Student Affairs
division; ensure appropriate spending of gift funds by designated
departments and assist Advancement with year-end summary
- Offer administrative assistance for orientation and new student

- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree
- 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Intermediate proficiency of Google Suite (Docs, Gmail, Sheets,
Drive, Slides) is required.
- The ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to
work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and
other constituencies is essential.
