Overview:Position: Corps Administrative Assistant/Family Services Clerk Location: Lancaster, PA Corps; 131 S. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Responsibilities: Assist Corps Officer with preparation, copying, distribution and filing of Advisory Board minutes/Corps Council minutes and related correspondence. Coordinate the process for acknowledgement of Gift in Kind donations. Work with other staff members to develop and place food bank order / compiles and processes monthly food bank statistics. Responsible to collect monthly Corps statistics and prepare for and transmit to DHQ. Mail information regarding estates to DHQ and keep a filing system on the estates. Fill in at front desk of Business Office as needed. Place office supply orders when needed. Fax documents for staff members as needed. Assist with coordination and maintaining calendar of fleet vehicles usage. Assist with coordination and maintaining calendar of facility use. Assist with monitoring of the postage meter, request replenishment of postage funds, bulk mail account, postage due account. Provides administrative support and assists Corps Officer with coordination of special programs (i.e. Kettles; Coats for Kids, ExtraOrdinary Give, Scholarship program, Camp Ladore; Christmas Assistance program). Assist Business Administrator in performing clearance checks for prospective employees and volunteers. Assist Business Administrator in completion of all documents for new hires and maintenance of personnel files in a confidential manner. Assist Business Administrator with completion of documentation and maintenance of volunteer files. Assist Corps Officer with preparing the Sunday program, Powerpoint & inserts. Assist Business Administrator with position advertisement and screening of prospective employees. Assist Business Administrator with paperwork and other tasks related to orientation for all new employees. Assist Family Services with clerical tasks as assigned by Corps Officer Assist Family Services with compiling, organizing and the input of all statistical material. Perform all other duties as assigned. The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the candidate will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.Qualifications:Business education with 2 years of experience in a related field.Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter.
