Job DescriptionThe Automation System Specialist will be a member of the Quality Engineering team supporting the pharmaceutical laboratories. The employee will develop and maintain the facility Environmental Monitoring System for monitoring of storage conditions throughout the campus.Automation System Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Assist with implementation and commissioning of the Environmental Monitoring SystemSupport the automation system on site including the process network, qualified automation system, PLC field panels, and sensorsDiagnose and repair routine electronic system componentsAuthor and review protocols, standard operating proceduresMaintain documents for the systemQualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess:Programming knowledge of PLC systems.Working knowledge of cGMP regulatory requirementsStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to research and learn new techniques quickly, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesMinimum Qualifications:Experience with PLC, SCADA, programming, preferred Siemens SoftwareA degree/certification in science, engineering, computer systems, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one year of education in related major)Strong knowledge of MSOffice, Windows OS, MS Server 2016, and SQL.Experience with technical writingAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional InformationThe position will be full-time Monday - Friday, 8:00 pm - 5:00 pm, with overtime as needed.
