Job Description:
System Freight, Inc., a leader in direct-to-store deliveries and
specialized transportation services, is seeking a qualified and
dedicated CDL-A Local Driver to join our team in Red Lion, PA. This
role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of timely and
secure delivery services we provide across the Northeastern United
States. As part of our driving team, you will play a crucial role
in ensuring the smooth operation of daily transportation routes
directly impacting our client satisfaction and operational success.
Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to various
local destinations without overnight stays. Ensure timely delivery
of freight as per assigned schedules while adhering to all local,
state, and federal driving laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip
and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report any issues
or defects to management. Maintain accurate driving and delivery
logs and communicate effectively with dispatch personnel to report
delays or other issues. Follow all company procedures for safe
loading, securing, and unloading of cargo. Provide outstanding
service to customers, maintaining professionalism during all
interactions. Collaborate with dispatch and routing teams to
optimize delivery schedules and routes. Proven ability to navigate
local routes efficiently using both traditional maps and GPS
devices. Strong time management and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain poise under pressure and adapt to unpredictable
road conditions or traffic scenarios. Proficiency in maintaining
and managing transportation paperwork (e.g., delivery logs,
inspection reports). Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Class A. A clean driving record is mandatory. DOT medical card.
