Job Description:

System Freight, Inc., a leader in direct-to-store deliveries and fleet outsourcing services specializing in the Northeastern United States, is seeking a dedicated and efficient CDL-A Local Driver. This position is critical in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods to our customers. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to safety protocols, excellent driving skills, and a deep understanding of local traffic regulations. Safely operate a tractor-trailer or other large commercial vehicle to transport goods to various local destinations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and brake systems. Adhere to assigned routes and schedules while maintaining communication with dispatch personnel for updates or changes. Ensure accurate and on-time delivery of freight to customer locations. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance needs to ensure vehicle remains in good condition and meets safety standards.
