System Freight, Inc., a leader in fleet outsourcing and direct-to-store deliveries, is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated CDL-A Local Driver to join our team. Focused on serving the Northeastern United States, our company ensures efficient transportation solutions bespoke to the retail and consumer goods industries. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our on-time delivery commitment and exceeding our clients? expectations with professionalism and safety. Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to complete scheduled deliveries within the local area. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of all equipment, ensuring it meets or exceeds safety standards. Correctly load and unload goods as per client specifications to prevent damage during transport. Maintain accurate driving logs, cargo records, and other required documentation using electronic or paper systems. Adhere to company policies, Department of Transportation regulations, and all federal, state, and local traffic laws. Communicate effectively with dispatch/operations with updates or concerns to ensure timely deliveries. Address and resolve client concerns on route and escalate any unavoidable delivery delays or problems. Proven skills in operating a commercial heavy vehicle safely and efficiently. Strong ability to handle physical workload associated with cargo handling. Excellent time management to stick to fixed schedules. Keen attention to detail in logging and record-keeping.
