Job Description:
System Freight, Inc., a leader in direct-to-store deliveries and
fleet outsourcing services, is currently seeking a dedicated CDL-A
Local Driver to support our expansive operations. This role is
primarily positioned in the vibrant Northeastern United States,
targeting reliable and timely transportation solutions to our
prestigious retail clients. As a local driver, you will handle
daily routes that allow you to return home each night, offering a
stable work-life balance while contributing to the backbone of our
supply chain. Operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck in a safe
and efficient manner. Complete daily delivery routes to various
local retail and distribution centers. Maintain accurate logs of
deliveries and travel activities in compliance with federal and
state regulations. Perform vehicle pre-inspection and
post-inspection activities to ensure proper functioning and safety
compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatch and management to
report any issues or delays. Adhere to company-specific safety
standards and participate in safety briefings. Assist in loading
and unloading goods as necessary, ensuring the security of cargo.
Proven ability to navigate local routes and manage time
effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle manual tasks.
Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs). Medical
