Job Description:

As the Director of Aquatics at Great Wolf Lodge, you will lead the operations of our expansive indoor water park, ensuring a safe, enjoyable and engaging environment for our guests and staff. Your role will be pivotal in upholding the standards of safety and guest satisfaction that are synonymous with our family brand. Oversee daily operations of the indoor water park and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage a team of lifeguards and aquatics staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and ongoing professional development. Develop and implement water safety protocols and emergency response strategies. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all aquatic equipment and facilities are in excellent condition. Analyze guest feedback and make improvements to enhance guest satisfaction while ensuring the highest level of safety. Prepare and manage the budget for the aquatics department, including forecasts and expenditure control. Liaise with other departments to create marketing promotions and special events that attract and retain lodge guests. Strong leadership and team management skills In-depth knowledge of pool and water park operations and maintenance Proficiency in safety regulations and water quality standards Ability to effectively manage crises and handle guest concerns efficiently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Capability to develop and administer budgets effectively Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification Lifeguard Instructor Certification First Aid and CPR/AED certification Water Safety Instructor certification (preferred)
