Job Description:
As a condition of employment, Willow Valley Communities requires

first day of employment.Join our skilled culinary team at Willow
Valley Communities as a Kitchen Supervisor. The Kitchen Supervisor
is responsible to inventory and order food and supplies, schedule,
supervise and participate in the activities of cooks and other
kitchen personnel to provide an exceptional dining experience to
Residents in a life care facility with varied levels of
care.Responsibilities:Train and instruct cooks and staff in proper
food preparation and execution.Directly supervises kitchen staff
with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance review and
initiating pay increases.Conducts daily production meetings with
staff.Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using various kitchen
utensils and equipment and mix ingredients, season and cook food
according to recipes or personal judgment.Inspect supplies,
equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to health
standards.Works with the Manager to schedule assigned Team Members
in accordance to the budget, to meet the needs of the operation and
the Team Members, and maintains time keeping records.Estimate
amounts and costs and requisition supplies and equipment.Addresses
and follows up on the concerns of Residents.Works closely with
Culinary Services Team Leaders to maintain/improve standards of
food served to the residents.Manages food cost through staff
supervision and control of meal production, food waste, utilization
of leftovers and portion control.Assists cooks to organize their
daily preparation schedule.Taste tests foods for proper production
quality.Communicates recipe changes to staff - follow through with
recipe procedures.Conducts training for Team Members to ensure
Willow Valley standards are met.Follows Willow Valley's HACCP plan
and Food Safety policies and procedures.Utilizes computer programs
to complete daily reports and communications.Qualifications:Adhere
to all WVC personnel policies, including but not limited to, those
covering Privacy and Security in compliance with HIPAA
regulations.Associate's Degree (A.A.) from a culinary or related
college or university4 years experienceexperience in food and labor
cost controldemonstration cooking; and menu developmentP & L
accountability and/or contract managed service experience desirable
and/or combination of education and experience.Schedule:Hours
