Job Description:
PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and
dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team.
At PowerBack, we are committed to delivering personalized and
intensive rehabilitation services to help patients reclaim their
independence post-surgery, injury, or illness. As an Occupational
Therapy Assistant, you will work closely under the direction of our
occupational therapists to implement therapeutic programs and
assist patients in a variety of activities designed to restore
their capabilities. This position requires an individual who is
passionate about patient care and is eager to contribute to their
recovery and success. Assist occupational therapists in evaluating
patients’ medical conditions and rehabilitation needs. Implement
therapeutic plans and exercises under the supervision of
occupational therapists. Monitor patient progress and report on
their response to treatments. Educate patients and their families
on post-treatment care and exercises. Maintain patient records and
document care provided. Ensure treatment areas and equipment are
clean and organized. Assist in the acquisition and adaptation of
assistive devices for patients. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention
to detail Ability to follow instructions and implement clinical
programs Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and patient care
Physical stamina to assist and support patients during therapy
sessions Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure required
CPR Certification preferred
