Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in the
D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated
Psychotherapist to join our team. This role involves working
closely with a diverse group of patients, providing high-quality
mental health care and support within our healthcare setting. The
successful candidate will assess and treat individuals with a range
of psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues, using
evidence-based therapies tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
This position requires a compassionate professional with a strong
commitment to patient care, adherence to confidentiality, and a
deep understanding of various therapeutic models. Conduct
psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations. Develop and
implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and
evidence-based practice. Provide individual, group, and family
therapy sessions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
to provide comprehensive care. Maintain patient confidentiality and
documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in continuous education, training, and research to
enhance professional growth and therapy effectiveness. Expertise in
various therapeutic techniques and modalities such as CBT, DBT,
psychoanalysis, etc. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in patient assessments and clinical evaluations.
Ability to handle a high caseload while providing high-quality
care. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Licensed
as a Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
(LCSW) in the state of Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C.
Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT), or another relevant therapeutic approach is
preferred.
