Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Profession: Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) -
Certified Specialty: Pharmacy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours
per Shift: 12 (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: At least 2 years of
experience; Completion of at least 1 travel assignment License:
Current registration with the District of Columbia Board of
Pharmacy licensure required Certifications: National Pharmacy
Technician Certification through PTCB or National Healthcareer
Association NHA Must-Have: - High school diploma or equivalent
Description: Schedule: Sunday - Saturday; Rotating day and evening
shifts. Shifts include 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 9:00
AM - 5:30 PM, and 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM. Every 3rd weekend or fewer
may be required. Accurately stages medications for dose
preparation. Fills new drug orders prior to pharmacist final check.
Fills medication carts prior to pharmacist final check. If assigned
by departmental leadership, may prepare injectable, chemotherapy,
or other specialty medications according to established procedures
prior to pharmacist final check. Uses proper techniques to prepare
sterile and non-sterile compounds for general and specialized areas
as determined by departmental leadership. Delivers medications to
patient care areas according to procedures, within scheduled time
frames, and follows pneumatic tube procedures. Performs routine
inventory counts of medications, checks expiration dates, and
removes all expired or recalled medications for disposal according
