JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Interventional Radiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Williamsport, PA Service Setting: Inpatient Procedures (IR, CT, Ultrasound) Coverage Type: Clinical Call Coverage Period: 12/01/2025 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: MonFri, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; minimum 1 week/ month On-Call Shift Schedule: MonFri, 5:00 PM 8:00 AM; 12 calls/week; No weekends required Call Type: Night call only; response within 30 minutes Call Ratio: 12 nights/week Call Response Time: 30 minutes COVERAGE DATES Start date December 1, 2025 (subject to credentialing) Ongoing need due to team growth PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics Patient Volume/Census: Moderate day volume; minimal calls throughout the week Rounding: None on weekends Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Interventional radiology procedures across IR, CT, and ultrasound Pediatric: Yes FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level II EMR System: Cerner and Epic PACS: GE Centricity (transitioning to Philips ViewPACS as of May 1st) Voice Recognition System: Powerscribe Office Equipment Available: Olympus, EVH, Powerscribe Specialty Backup Available: Yes Support Staff Available: Yes; APP/mid-level coverage Reason for Coverage: Team Growth PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60 days TRAVEL & LODGING Travel, Lodging and Malpractice covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Ablation (lung, liver, bone, renal, adrenal) Abscess drainage Angiography (arterial intervention) Biliary drain placement and tube change Bone marrow biopsy Chemoembolization/Radioembolization (Y90) CT-guided biopsies (lung, masses, renal, lymph nodes) Dialysis access intervention G-tube placement IVC filter placement/removal Liver biopsy (CT, US, transjugular) Lumbar puncture/cisternogram Nephrostomy/tube placement Paracentesis PICC line placement Pleurx catheter insertion Port/tunneled line placement Superficial aspiration/biopsy Thoracentesis Thyroid biopsy TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) Uterine fibroid/pelvic embolization Venogram Venous interventions (thoracic, CNS, pelvis, extremities) Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Pennsylvania license or IMLC Board: Board Certified DEA: Required Certifications: CSR license Experience: Minimum 1 year Minimum commitment of 1 week/month (MonFri) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform interventional procedures across IR, CT, and ultrasound Be available for night call during assigned weekdays (no weekends) Collaborate with APP staff and utilize EMR/PACS tools efficiently Provide expert imaging-guided diagnosis and treatment procedures
