• BLS

  • The Certified Surgical Technologist is a member of the Surgical Team in the Surgical Suite who works with the Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care before, during and after surgery.
  • Utilizes appropriate physician preference cards; anticipates supplies and equipment needed for the assigned case.
  • Prepares room supplies according to operative procedure.
  • Assists with moving, positioning, preparing and draping patients.
  • Applies and utilizes special equipment safely.
  • Maintains aseptic technique.
  • Assists with obtaining specimens and ensures proper preparation and handling.
  • Performs correct counts according to hospital policies and procedures.
    • Job Requirements
    • Experienced Surgical Tech in multiple specialties
    • Strong Ortho experience preferred
    • EPIC experience required
    • 2 years experience required
      • Schedule Information
      • SHIFT- 8x5 hr shifts- Mon to Friday- 1500-2330
      • 2 weeknights per 6 weeks and 2 x 12 hr weekends in 6 weeks
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Reports to the Nurse Manager, Surgical Services
        • In case of absence, reports to the Director of Patient Services, Surgical Services.
        • Assists with Robotics as outlined by additional Intuitive training course.
          • Additional Details
          • All time off and/or scheduling requests must be included in the submission
          • Candidates cannot be considered if they have been employed as a perm hire at any WellSpan site within the year.
          • WellSpan requires the flu vaccine from September 7 - April 30.
