Job Description:
Job Overview
The Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator will ensure adequate
training for employees, effectively communicate SOPs, maintain
records, and follow up with employees regularly to ensure they
succeed in their positions. The Safety Coordinator will lead the
Safety Committee, lead accident investigations, coordinate safety
training and be the go-to person for safety clarification.
Individual will also support operations projects as needed that
relate to employee safety and productivity. (Goal is to not be
"safety police" but to be safety guidance and
encouragement/constant presence with the goal always to be leading
folks to safety in a leadership manner as a coach).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals,
and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work
environment is equally moderate to loud.
Time will be spent on the production floor requiring the use of PPE
(personal protective equipment) (i.e. safety glasses, hard hats,
high visibility vest, and safety shoes). Time will also be spent in
the office analyzing reports.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently
is required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach
with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit;
climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee
must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally
lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust
focus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization. Bilingual English/Mandarin is a plus.
