Physician Assistant - Sports MedicineSummary/Objective:
The Sports Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) position requires an in-depth knowledge of medical procedures and equipment for orthopedics. They also must know how to maintain safety in the workplace, handle emergency situations efficiently and follow company procedures. They must be professional and have basic computer skills as well. They must be able to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced work environment.

Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the physician in the identification, treatment, and management or orthopedic problems.
  • Working as the first assist in surgery.
  • Assist physician in office by performing complete, detailed and accurate histories, review of patient records, and documentation in EMR system.
  • Examine and treat orthopedic patients, to include injections and reductions.
  • Establish rapport, educate and counsel patients and family as to current situation, developing and implementing a treatment plan.
  • Maintains and acquires knowledge and skills to perform required duties to meet all office, hospital, state, organizational and licensure requirements.
    Required Education and Experience:
    • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
    • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
    • Experience in outpatient evaluation and management.Preferred Education and Experience:
      • Experience in orthopedic surgery is preferred.
      • Experience in Sports Medicine is preferred.COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate:Due to the CMS rule for healthcare employees, and specifically for employees of NPSC, OAL Realty, and some employees of OAL, OAL now has a COVID-19 vaccine mandate in place.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
        This is a Full-time, exempt position. Employee must be available during the core business hours Monday thru Friday. The PA will take call up to four (4) days per month.Travel:Employee must be able to travel to all company locations when required and necessary. The position has the potential for travel to events and conferences.Salary/Benefits:
