Description: Charge Nurse- PT- 16 hours per 2-week pay period: 11:00p - 7:00a, every other weekend only or Charge Nurse- FT- 80 hours per 2-week pay period: 6:30a - 3:00p, including every other weekend, $2,000 Sign-on Bonus or Medication & Treatment Nurse- PT - 43 hours per 2-week pay period: 2:45p - 9:00p, including every other weekend or Medication & Treatment Nurse- PT - 48 hours per 2-week pay period: 2:45p - 11:15p, including every other weekend, $2,000 Sign-on Bonus or PRN (as needed) Calvary Homes is a Retirement Community with a small Skilled Nursing Center and Personal Care Home, where residents feel as though our staff is part of their extended family. Job Summary: Position with primary responsibility to provide Medication and/or Treatments as well as direct nursing care to residents and assist in supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistant in accordance with current Federal, State and Local guidelines and regulations Essential Job Functions: Ensure nursing service procedures and care plans are followed
Perform administration duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, etc.
Prepare and administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician
Assure medications are administered accordingly to accepted professional standards of practice
Ensure adequate supply of medications, supplies and equipment are on hand to meet nursing needs
Ensure narcotic records are complete and accurate
Dispose of drugs and narcotics as required in accordance with procedures
Notify attending physician of auto-stop orders prior to last dosage
Immediately notify Charge Nurse of all drug and narcotic discrepancies
Ensure medication and treatment area maintained in clean and safe manner in accordance with guidelines and regulations
Assure that staff, residents, visitors, and others follow safety and infection control policies and procedures at all times, including dress code and operation on the unit's equipment
Participate in surveys made by authorized government agencies Other Functions Admit, transfer, and discharge residents
Complete accident and incident reports
Receive telephone orders from physician and record in absence of Charge Nurse
Transcribe physicians' orders
Assist in developing work assignments and/or completing and performing tasks
Ensure room is ready for new admission with anticipated support equipment
Make rounds with physicians or consultants in providing care as necessary
Work with consultants and implement changes as authorized by Charge Nurse In addition to the functions listed above, this position is expected to: Exercise confidentiality, honesty, and integrity
Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Communicate effectively
Work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
Adhere to all safety guidelines

EOE Requirements: Qualifications: Graduate of approved License Practical Nurse program
One-year of Long Term Care nursing experience
Current, unencumbered, license to practice as Registered Nurse or License Practical Nurse in the state
Current Adult CPR certification
Read, write, speak and understand the English language
