Job Description:
Function: Provide exceptional trauma and empowerment focused
counseling services to child and/or adult victim survivors of
sexual assault and significant others. Presents primary prevention
and education awareness programs to people within the
community.Responsibilities:Provides counseling and therapy to
victim survivors of sexual assault and their significant
others.Facilitates therapeutic groups for victim survivors and
significant others Presents prevention and education awareness
programs to schools, community organizations, and other agencies,
as needed. Administers evaluation tools and complies data as
needed. Completes 40-hour Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling
Training Course and completes a minimum of 12 hours of additional
related trainings per year. Attends related community meetings as
assigned. Maintain a caseload of 22-25 clients each week, on
average. Maintain client files, providing information for reports
as needed Maintain related service statistics; keep program
statistics and other records as assigned Participates in case
management, supervision, and consults with the director of SAPCC
Act as an advocate for victim survivors in matters related to
recovery Serve as staff back-up on 24-hour rape crisis hotline
rotation Serve on YWCA committee, as opportunity arises Maintains
professional licensure through Continuing Education Unties (CEU)
Participates in at least one YWCA mission related activity/event
Attending Staff Development Days Demonstrated commitment to YWCA
Public Policies and Mission Adheres to all YWCA policies and
procedures Performs other duties as requiredQualifications:Master's
degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related filed required;
experience in trauma informed counseling preferred; completion of
Sexual Assault Counselor training preferred; Therapist License
Required; adherence to confidentiality policies; commitment to the
rights of all victim survivors of sexual assault; knowledge of
local sexual assault programs considered. Desire and ability to
embody the YWCA s Mission of empowering women and eliminating
racism.Accountability: Director SAPCCClassification: This job
operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely
uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones,
photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job also
operates in community settings such as schools and other community
organizations.$23/hr starting: Dependent upon experiencePhysical
Demands: This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is
required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing
cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. The position also requires
the ability to input data into a computer and use a telephone and a
calculator. This position also requires the ability to travel to
other locations in the community.Job Type: Full-timePay: From
