Job Description:
Orthopedic Associates is a leader in orthopedic care with four
locations across Lancaster and Lebanon counties. We are seeking a
certified/registered Orthopedic Technologist or credential eligible
to join our clinical team.This position is eligible for sign-on and
relocation bonuses.Schedule/Work Environment:Full timeDay shift,

Description/Duties:Perform cast and splint application, cast
reapplication and cast/splint removal under the direction and by
order of PhysicianProvide written information for patient and
family regarding cast/splintsPerform proper DME fitting with
appropriate written instructionsRemove sutures or staples from
superficial incisions after assessed by providerPerform simple
non-sterile and sterile dressingsMonitors and maintains all
orthopedic equipment and suppliesCleans rooms and instruments
according to OSHA and TJC standardsAssists with retrieval and
checking of prior imaging studiesAssists patient with ambulation
and transfersSecondary Duties:Welcome Patients to the
practiceEnsure all related reports, labs and information is filed
is available in patients' medical records prior to their
appointmentPrepares patients for examination, including
suture/staple removalAcquire Vitals and accurately document in
EMRInterview patient for allergies, medications, and historyAssist
the physician in the exam roomPrepare Injections/supplies using
sterile techniqueProvide patient education for care after
visitMaintain equipment and stock exam roomsAssist with patient
check-outProvides patients with accurate information when answering
questions and concernsComplete referrals accurately and
appropriatelyAcquire radiographic images using ALARA when licensed
according to state regulationOther Responsibilities:Prepare
patients for routine examinations and procedures and set up
rooms.Collect and record patient data including vitals signs, basic
information about the presenting and previous conditions.Performs
order entry of labs, x-rays, etc.Other technical or administrative
tasks as assignedAdheres to company policies and
proceduresMaintains patient records and protects patient
confidentialityDemonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and
values of the companyRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or
GED is required.BCLS certification is required.NBCOT certification
or certification eligible is required.Will consider offering onsite
training for RTR candidates, NBCOT certification required within 2
years of employmentExcellent communication and interpersonal
skills, works independently, works as a team member is required.OAL
