Job Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing several small to
medium-scale projects and ensuring that all projects are aligned
with organizations and departments strategic priorities. The
Project Manager works with a wide variety of audiences across the
organization (Examples include: Instructional Designers, Media, and
Assessment).Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with departments/stakeholders on approved projects to
determine goals/requirements, scope, and timeline needed to
facilitate and coordinate project deliverables.
- Communicate with project teams, contractors, and vendors to
verify that there is a clear understanding of project outcomes and
timelines.
- Manage the end-to-end process of projects; from start to
launch.
- Manage the day-to-day details of projects including the plan,
schedule, resources, task assignments, scope, issues, and risks.
Track progress and monitor all development activities.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings. Brief the project
team and leadership on status, problem resolution, feedback, and
input from the team on project planning and execution.
- Assist with capacity management. Plan and ensure resources will
be available when needed; adapt resource planning to changing
project needs.
- Adhere to company project methodology. Maintain documentation
such as the original plans, process documentation, status reports,
meeting minutes, issue logs and any other documentation related to
the management and administration of the project.
- Fulfill all other duties/tasks consistent with the goals of
this position as determined by the Sr. Program Manager.Job Skills:
- Knowledge and application of project management
principles.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google
Suite applications, as well as Smartsheet or similar project
management software; excellent Excel/Sheets skills.
- Demonstrates a solution-focused attitude with the ability to
solve problems in a collaborative manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the
ability to manage complex and varied relationships to successfully
complete projects and implement change.
- Ability to organize information, manage tasks and projects and
use available tools to effectively contribute to organization.
- Ability to express oneself effectively within groups and in
one-to-one conversations. Conveys information clearly and
effectively through both formal and informal documents.
- Demonstration of project management experience under tight
deadlines, with emphasis being placed on individual's ability to
successfully manage projects and utilize leadership and strategic
thinking skills.
- Excellent ability to organize time, attention to detail, and
follow-through skills.
- Displays sense of urgency and accurately delivers information
on time.
- Ability to make strategic recommendations to keep projects on
track.
- Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent
tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative.
- Highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a
high level of confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Able to maintain an approachable and appropriate attitude when
interacting with all levels of personnel in any given
situation.Work Experience:
- At least 3 years experience in Project Management.
- Experience with education content development, experience in a
higher education environment a plus.Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; degree in
Business or Project Management preferred.Other:
- Must be able to travel 0-10% of time.
- This position is remote with quarterly 3-day in-person
meetings. Option for office hoteling is available in Minneapolis,
MN and Herndon, VA.
- Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business
needs warrant.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
- Mobility within the office including movement from floor to
floor.
- Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform
this job.
- Access information using a computer.
- Effectively communicate, both up and down the management
chain.
- Effectively cope with stressful situations.
- Strong mental acuity.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
functions of this job.
- Other essential functions and marginal job functions are

The expected salary range for this position is below.$73,900.00 -
