Job Summary:

We are seeking a Project Manager to work in our office and manufacturing facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Project Manager will play a key role in managing the cross-functional execution and delivery of architectural and perimeter security projects from bid-to-install, as well as warranty-related requests.

Operating out of our manufacturing facility in Lancaster, PA, the Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and will develop and maintain trusting relationships with those that Harden serves. As such, though there may be occasional trips to job-sites, this role will primarily conduct in-office work.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage small to large architectural and perimeter security projects for US Government contractors and clients
  • Act as primary customer relationship manager and point of contact for assigned contractors / clients / projects
  • Oversee the cross-functional flow of work to drive progress and ensure all aspects of the project are completed to customer requirements (i.e., product, budget, and schedule)
  • Submit RFIs to customer requesting additional information when required
  • Monitor changes in project scope to ensure change orders are issued for additional work
  • Coordinate the creation and submission of submittal packages for customer approval
  • Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to ensure on-time project delivery
  • Communicate product design changes based on customer requirements to the Engineering, Supply Chain, and/or Production teams
  • Support Sales & Estimating team with preparing customer bids
  • Coordinate field-visits with the customer and Warranty & Commissioning team
  • Collaborate with the Warranty & Commissioning team to address customers' warranty concerns
  • Ensure all departments are aware of and comply with US DoS and OBO standards for architectural and/or perimeter security projects
  • Other duties as assigned Job Requirements:
    • U.S. Citizen
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
    • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and 5+ years of experience, or in lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience performing in a similar role
    • Solid understanding of project management principles and experience managing complex projects from start to finish to meet customer requirements for product, budget, and schedule
    • Experience working with US Government contractors and/or clients, preferred
    • General knowledge of how manufacturing organizations operate from bid to install
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills
    • Proficiency in MS 365 and experience using project management software
    • Ability to travel occasionally both domestically & internationally Compensation & Benefits:

        Physical Environment:

        Functions in a temperature-controlled office environment a majority of the time. Work requires the ability to sit throughout an extended workday (8-10 hours) with occasional walking into other areas of the manufacturing facility; position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position requires the ability to talk and hear; position may need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, customers, and phone conversations. On occasion the noise level may be loud due to various equipment in use in the manufacturing facility.
