Description:
Primarily responsible for calculating the estimated costs of
material, labor, equipment and contract services required to meet
the fabrication needs of the customer. Working with the Account
Managers to ensure that each project is executed within budget and
on time while meeting or exceeding the quality standards. Essential
Job Functions:
- Adheres to the responsibilities and expectations defined in the
GSM Industrial Project Chart.
- Evaluates customer drawings/specifications to determine
suitability.
- Uses GSM systems and processes to produce accurate quotation
documents, including detailed scope of work and communicates with
prospect/customer.
- Uses GSM systems and processes to provide accurate pricing
according to company goals for markup and profit margin.
- Consults with entire project team to establish appropriate
goals, dates, constraints, technical process guidelines etc.
Determines and contracts subcontractors as needed to align with
internal scheduling.
- Completes or delegates order entry process assuring all
customer, project details are properly entered in the system and
communicated to internal team members.
- Takes ownership of the scope of work and communicates
information as it becomes available with project team members.
- Supervises shipping and receiving processes related to all
phases of the project including customer supplied items, parts
shipped directly to site, subcontracted work, and shipping and
customer procurement of final goods. Coordinates shipping schedules
with field crew schedules.
- Develops long lasting, successful business relationships with
new and existing accounts
- Ultimately responsible for
- Creating an accurate estimate, which is the foundation for a
successful project.
- Maintaining a positive customer relationship.
- Maintaining and facilitating appropriate communications with
customer and internal teams. Additional Roles: Additional
responsibilities are defined under the Business Development
Manager, Account Manager, and Project Engineering Designer job
descriptions. In addition to the essential functions listed above,

- Willing to learn: How to read, and modify engineering drawings,
CNC programing software, cut-list and purchasing systems.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of post high school training and five years
of experience in a related field
- Knowledge of sales techniques and principles a plus
- Knowledge of sheet metal and steel fabrication
- Ability to represent and sell the company and its products and
services
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and estimate time and
material requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Intermediate mathematics
- Planning and time-management skills
- Ability to execute goals and objectives
- Computer skills and willingness to adopt InforVisual ERP
software processes and procedures
- Valid PA driver's license Machines/Tools/Equipment: Computer,
basic office equipment & automobile Working Conditions:
- Office and/or jobsite locations
- In a normal workday, the employee must be able to:
- Stand 4-6 hours
- Sit 4-6 hours
- Walk 1-4 hours
- Drive 4-6 hours
- Lift/carry 20 lbs. maximum; frequently lift/carry up to 10 lbs.
