excellence. Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced
Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day facilities operations for
their Washington, DC office. This role plays a key part in ensuring
the workplace infrastructure, building systems, and office services
consistently meet operational, safety, and quality standards.
Working closely with internal leadership and a global facilities
network, the Facilities Manager will manage local vendors, budgets,
projects, and compliance activities while leading one facilities
team member. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and oversee building
infrastructure, engineering systems, and workplace services to
support business operations Direct preventive and corrective
maintenance programs, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory
compliance Manage daily office services including reception
operations, mail and freight, meeting spaces, parking, waste
services, and office supplies Plan and deliver facilities-related
projects such as space changes, infrastructure upgrades, and
service transitions Select, manage, and evaluate vendors and
contractors to ensure service quality, cost effectiveness, and
contract compliance Develop and maintain facilities documentation
related to procurement, risk, safety, and operational controls
Ensure adherence to all applicable building codes, health and
safety standards, and statutory requirements Conduct facilities
risk assessments and ensure mitigation actions are implemented
Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, and incident
response planning Lead space utilization reviews and workspace
planning to support current and future staffing needs Prepare
analysis and recommendations related to leases, renewals, and
office footprint changes Manage facilities budgets, forecasts,
purchasing, and asset tracking in alignment with financial policies
Support sustainability initiatives focused on energy efficiency,
waste reduction, and environmental performance Supervise and
develop facilities staff, promoting a service-focused, accountable,
and collaborative team culture Qualifications: Proven experience
leading facilities operations in a large leased office environment
(typically 20,000 square feet) Strong understanding of how
facilities management supports employee experience, operational
performance, and continuity Demonstrated success managing vendors,
contracts, and service provider performance Experience with space
planning, office moves, refurbishments, and end-to-end facilities
management (hard and soft services) Working knowledge of U.S.
workplace safety regulations, building and fire codes, and
environmental compliance standards Track record of maintaining
audit readiness and regulatory compliance Solid financial acumen,
including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control Proficiency with
Microsoft 365; experience with space management systems or CAD
tools preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to
build effective relationships with internal and external
stakeholders Additional Details: Pay range: $72,000– $90,000
