Analyst-I (PA-I) is responsible for project controls tasks,
administrative tasks and deliverables related to the Capital
Program Management. The PA-I supports engineers, project managers,
project analysts and other stakeholders throughout projects in
areas of budget coordinator, outside service and material
obtainment, document management, closeout processes, administrative
functions, and other pertinent project information. Duties and
Responsibilities Update the DOJM and PowerPlan systems (and others)
with current CAPEX project information. Assist Engineers with
SAP/Power Plan administrative tasks. Enter necessary information
into the respective work order management and financial tracking
systems. Utilize PowerPlan to prepare forecasts for projects.
Provide design support to the engineering team by assisting to
collect and analyze preliminary design documentation during project
scoping. Support engineers with the preparation and assembly of
project authorization documents. Assist with the development of
technical and financial project documents, in conjunction with the
respective engineers, for project authorizations. Arrange documents
required for project funding as appropriate, modify project
forecasts and area blanket budgets. Develop document routing for
authorization. Monitor and expedite project approval, as necessary.
Obtain respective pre and post approval project numbers. Assist or
complete necessary project cost transfers. As necessary, analyze
and appropriately respond to 3rd party design one call requests.
Collect and review project field documentation for correctness and
completeness. Develop, complete, and route project close out
documentation. Assist in the mediation of meetings between
engineering, operations, contractor, and project management
personnel to update and address project documentation deficiencies.
Assist with managing the GIS Deficiency Log to coordinate and
ensure items are corrected and removed in a timely manner. Assist
in the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts for
CAPEX. Assemble all project information from the engineers and load
into PowerPlan. Update CAPEX forecast monthly as actuals become
available. Work with the Capital Planning/Engineering/Operation
groups for any changes to the projects in the budget. In
coordination with the engineer, assist in the development of
documents for materials, construction or professional service
obtainment, and permitting. Procure the necessary plans and
specifications to support the respective obtainment. Perform the
necessary tasks to notify, award and authorize. Complete all other
work assignments and special projects as directed by the Sr
Manager/Manager Area Engineering. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Organization skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent
skills in work process flow with associated internal administrative
processes and procedures. Aptitude in learning the processes and
procedures associated with design and construction of natural gas
facilities. Aptitude in learning new computer systems, such as
Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and the Company Mainframe and SAP
computer systems. Familiarity with office workflow procedures.
Ability to build strong relationships and develop trust;
collaborative, team-focused, and service-oriented. Strong
communication skills; communicate effectively and persuasively,
both verbally and in writing. Education and Experience High school
diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree
preferred. 1 year of experience in gas
utility/pipeline/transmission operations/accounting preferred. UGI
