Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher
of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the
Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A leading educational
organization is seeking a dedicated Visually Impaired Teacher to
support students with visual impairments in Arlington, TX. This
role requires a professional committed to enhancing the learning
experience for visually impaired students through specialized
instruction and meaningful support. Key Responsibilities: Develop
and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the
needs of students with visual impairments. Provide direct
instruction using orientation and mobility techniques, Braille,
assistive technology, and other resources. Collaborate with general
education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure
accessibility and inclusion. Conduct assessments to monitor student
progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Participate in
professional development activities to remain current with best
practices in visual impairment education. Support students' social
and emotional development related to vision loss. Travel may be
required to provide services across multiple locations or to attend
training sessions. Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a
Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI). Experience working with
students who have visual impairments. Knowledge of orientation and
mobility techniques, Braille, and related assistive technologies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills. Willingness to
