Social Media Specialist

Alpha Dog Advertising is seeking a social media specialist to create compelling strategies and content that attract and engage audiences, support lead generation, and nurture efforts at every stage of the marketing funnel. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and deadline driven and has experience writing for a variety of audiences and social media platforms.

The -social media specialist -spearheads social strategy and manages the day-to-day social media operations for both Alpha Dog Advertising and our clients.

Duties
Acting as social media lead to establish consistent messaging, build loyal followings, grow engagement, and encourage positive online conversations. This includes daily monitoring and engagement via commenting, liking, sharing, and reposting on behalf of client accounts and/or client leadership.
Working with brand managers on higher-level marketing strategy and how social media tactics can help drive business goals.
Developing and implementing social media strategy.
Developing social media content to promote sales and client services. This includes writing copy and working with designers to create images and video as needed.
Conducting social media account audits, providing thoughtful and reliable recommendations to clients.
Staying up-to-date on the ever-changing social media landscape, adjusting strategies as needed, and providing ongoing suggestions and optimizations for clients to stay ahead of the curve.
Setting up and monitoring both paid and organic social media campaigns.
Maintaining active accounts across key platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Creating, scheduling, and maintaining organized social media calendars that include events, promotions, and special occasions.
Monitoring analytics and creating client reports on social performance.
Coordinating and maintaining a comprehensive image library.
Assisting in pitching new business and developing new business proposals, as well as growing social media services with existing clients.

Requirements
College degree, preferably in marketing/communications.
Experience working in an agency, marketing firm, or in-house marketing team.
Minimum of 3+ years social media experience, with examples of running organic and paid campaigns.
Strong methodology and reporting skills. Must provide examples of monthly/quarterly organic and paid campaign reports.
Ability to tie business and marketing goals to social media execution. Must be able to show clients, through data-driven analysis, how social media tactics work toward these goals.
Understanding of how to estimate and budget social media projects and retainers to ensure both client health and agency profitability.
Experience with creating social media strategy and content for B2B companies.
Familiarity with search engine optimization concepts and writing with keywords.
Proficiency in social media platforms and Buffer (or similar tools).
Experience with Facebook Business Suite.
Proficiency in Office 365.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team setting as well as solo. Must be a self-starter.

A Plus, But Not Required
Experience with Photoshop and InDesign.
Experience working with influencers.
