Role will transition to full-time within first 6-months - Benefits are made available upon entering Full-Time role Position Overview: The Accreditation Manager manages the daily operations of the IDA Accreditation Program, ensuring the effective execution of initial and renewal cycles. This role serves as the primary contact for applicant institutions, providing essential guidance and coordination for the application process, review activities, and final decision communications. The Manager is responsible for coordinating accreditation examiners and reviewers, maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records, and generating routine data reports. Success in this position requires strong organizational and communication skills, a deep understanding of evidence-based literacy instruction and IDA Knowledge and Practice Standards, and a commitment to quality and continuous process improvement across all accreditation functions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Accreditation Operations & Program Administration Manage day-to-day operations of the IDA Accreditation Program, including initial accreditation and renewal cycles. Maintain accreditation calendars, deadlines, tracking systems, and application workflows. Coordinate application intake, readiness, and progression to ensure alignment with IDA standards and requirements. Prepare and organize accreditation materials and documentation for reviewers, committees, and leadership. Application Support & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants and renewing institutions. Provide guidance on accreditation requirements, timelines, standards, and submission expectations. Coordinate meetings, review discussions, site visits (if applicable), and decision communications. Ensure consistent, professional, and accurate accreditation-related correspondence. Examiner & Reviewer Coordination Coordinate communication, scheduling, and logistics for accreditation examiners and reviewers. Support onboarding and training to ensure understanding of standards, review protocols, and scoring tools. Prepare and distribute reviewer materials, rubrics, and reference documents. Track reviewer assignments, progress, completion, and service records. Documentation, Compliance & Quality Control Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized accreditation records. Ensure version control and consistency across accreditation templates, forms, and reports. Verify that accreditation decisions are supported by documented evidence aligned to standards. Support continuous improvement of accreditation processes and resources. Data Tracking & Reporting Maintain accreditation tracking systems and dashboards. Generate routine reports for accreditation leadership, committees, and board updates. Support data needs for annual reports, audits, and strategic planning. Ensure accuracy and integrity of accreditation data. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal IDA teams to support accreditation-related needs. Align accreditation communications with IDAs mission, messaging, and brand standards. Support accreditation-related webinars, trainings, and information sessions. Coordinate with partners to ensure consistent institutional communication. Experience, Skills and Additional Requirements: Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Special Education, Reading, Literacy, or a related field. Minimum of (5) five years of experience teaching reading intervention, including work with students with dyslexia. Demonstrated knowledge of Structured Literacy, the Science of Reading, and the IDA Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills with high attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with educator preparation programs, professional training programs, or nonprofit organizations. Familiarity with standards-based program evaluation or accreditation processes. Key Skills & Competencies Deep understanding of evidence-based literacy instruction and dyslexia. Highly organized, process-oriented, and able to manage multiple timelines and priorities. Collaborative, responsive, and professional when working with diverse stakeholders. Strong commitment to quality, consistency, confidentiality, and continuous improvement. This is a remote position.
