Description:The mission of this role is to manage the accounting activities for GSM Industrial. The Accounting Manager develops, implements and administers the accounting procedures. Work must be performed in a way that aligns with GSM operating values including cooperation, flexibility, respect for team members & customers and always in a professional manner. Tactical Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:Manage and perform accounting functionsDailyManage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables including associated entriesRecord journal entries as necessaryHandles daily bank depositPrepare and distribute cash position reportWeeklyCalculate and distribute Per Diem to Field employeesProcess payroll into Paylocity and record into General LedgerMonthlyPrepare bank reconciliationPerform month end closing activitiesPrepare financial reports and distribute to managementPrepare and file PA sales tax reportsQuarterlyCalculate and file fuel/IFTA tax reportsAnnuallyIssue 1099'sPrepare account reconciliationsPrepare year end information for outside accountantsAdminister Gooding Group 401(k) PlanResponsible for fixed asset accounting, including additions, deletions and depreciationSupervise Administrative Assistant and ReceptionistAssist outside vendors in audits of employee benefit programsEstablish and maintain financial files and records to document transactionsPerform additional related duties as assigned or as necessary contributing to the organization's success.In addition to the essential functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all customers and co-workers, follow Company policies and procedures, maintain a professional demeanor and work ethic, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and customers, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible.
